Melanie Sutton, Children's Minister
Melanie has been at HCC for over 3 years, serving as their first full-time children's minister. She is passionate about seeing children grow--with their families--to know Christ better!
Melanie has a bachelor's degree in Children and Family Ministry from Abilene Christian University in Texas. While in college, Melanie gained experience interning with both Pilgrim Luthern Preschool and First Colony Church in Houston, TX. Melanie has also worked as both a counselor and later an Assistant Director for ACU Leadership Camps. She spent time working in Nashville' inner city with Youth Encouragement Services before joining our staff in 2004.
Melanie recently married Ryan Sutton, also a member of HCC, on January 19th. She enjoys singing, playing soccer, travelling, trying new restaurants, and having good conversation and laughter with those she loves. She also harbors a deep, abiding passion for college basketball... GO DUKE!! :)
