PRETEENS (5th & 6th graders)

The preteen years are among the most critical in a person's life. The percentage of people who make a decision for Christ dramatically decreases after age 13. The leadership of HCC developed a ministry to specifically reach young people during these critical years. We take bible study and discussion to a new depth during our Sunday morning class. We bond the students into a youth group, meeting together on Wednesday nights for fellowship, study, small group interaction, and lots of fun! We take the students through a discipleship and baptism training course each year, which helps them to think critically about their own walk with God and what they believe. Special outings, retreats, and service projects are also planned frequently for this age group, continuing to enrich their church experience and their friendships.
