VBS is now Camp KC - "Kidz of the Creator"
"Camp KC" stands for "Kidz of the Creator". Our desire is to help children realize that the gifts, talents, and interests they have come from God, their loving Creator. Each child will choose the activity area of their choice: basketball, skateboarding, art, or music. As they learn about and participate in this activity all week, children will also encounter lessons, stories, and characters from scripture that relate to their chosen field. Children will be encouraged by Christian adults and teenagers who share their interests and can also help each child find ways to use that gift for the God's glory.
Another chief objective of "Camp KC" is to reach families not just children. We will offer a parenting seminar in the worship center, while the children are participating in their activities. This keeps the camp from being just a "baby-sitting service" and rather, it becomes a chance for real discipleship and life-change for the whole family. We will cap-off the week with a "KC Showcase" on Thursday night. This event will allow students to make presentations, performances, etc. to their families of what they have done throughout the week. We will also share some stories, a slideshow, and finish with an ice cream social! Mark your calendars NOW for Sunday, July 27 - Thursday, July 31 from 6p - 8:30p.

It is our desire that your children are physically and emotionally safe, while under our care in Harpeth Heroes. That's why we implemented "The Guardian System" which is our plan for screening and training volunteers, and also for operating safely on a daily basis. Everyone who serves with your kids has been background checked and is well-prepared for this ministry. We strive for excellence in our procedures and policies because your child's well-being is of great value to us!
