We have blessed many people in need with items from our HCC food pantry. To continue this ministry to our church family and local community, we need to replenish our stock. For the whole month of September, we are collecting shelf-stable food items and encourage EVERYONE in the church to donate. To make it fun, we're having a contest to see who can donate the most items - those in the Community Center OR those in the Children's Center. The contest is on! We'll have a collection shelf in each building and at the end of September, the shelf with the most items wins the contest! Donation ideas are: canned veggies, meats, fruits, pastas, and soups, mac-n-cheese, side items, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, can-openers, and bottled water. The biggest need is canned meats and canned fruits.
BLOOD DRIVE
Harpeth Community Church will be hosting a blood drive on Monday, September 20th, 3:00pm-7:00pm in the Youth Center. You can sign up to donate by clicking here. Type in Franklin19 (no spaces) as Sponsor Code and then select Harpeth Community Church. If you have never registered online with the American Red Cross you will need to create a profile which is very easy to do. Or, if you prefer, you can contact Lori Hilber at the church office (790-0104) and she can get you signed up.
LOCAL CONFERENCE
The Oasis Conference is an annual conference presented by Crescent Project, a ministry dedicated to reaching Muslims in North America with the Gospel. This year, it will be held in Nashville from the evening of Thursday, October 21 through the afternoon of October 23. If you wait until next year, you will need to travel to Orlando!
By participating in this conference, you will learn the basics of Islam including history and beliefs as well as reasons why you should reach out to Muslims and tips on how to do so. With all the media attention on Islam and the desires to build mosques in New York, Antioch, Murfreesboro, and Brentwood, there has never been a better time to learn about Islam and how to reach Muslims. Crescent Project takes the view that Muslims are people in need of a Savior. We must always remember that Satan is our enemy. Muslims are lost people caught in in an evil system. Jesus commanded us to take the Gospel to all people and to set captives free. This is why we must reach out! Here are some details of the conference: When: October 21-23 Where: Otter Creek Church on Franklin Road in Brentwood (This is a change). Cost: $100. This includes 3 meals. Early registration, group, and student discounts are available. Click here for more information!

PRAYER WARRIOR MEETING
“We have different gifts according to the grace given us,” Romans 1:6
If one of your gifts is praying for others, please join us on Sunday, at 9:30 AM in Bobby’s office located on the right hand side of the Children’s Center through the main entrance. We will pray continually during that service for our church: the leadership, the members, the children, the marriages, the hurting, the unemployed, the lost, etc. We’ll also praise God for prayers answered! If you are willing to commit to praying with a team of prayer warriors one Sunday a month, two Sundays a month, or every Sunday, please let me know and I’ll include you in the communication for this new Sunday morning ministry.

BABY DEDICATIONS AT HCC
We believe that children are a joyous gift! We also believe that parents and church families have a God-given responsibility to raise up children in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord." Therefore, we consider it an honor and privilege to hold baby dedication ceremonies for HCC members' children periodically throughout the year. The ceremony is a time for us to pray blessings over a child's life, affirm and challenge parents, and celebrate the gift of new life God has brought to our congregation. The next date is November 14th. Contact our Children's Minister, Cam McLaughlin @ 615.790.0104 x15 to schedule your dedication.
THE GREEN TEAM NEEDS YOU!
Please consider spending some time with us on Saturdays as we do all kinds of landscaping and general outdoor clean-up around the campus. This kind of work is lots of fun and a whole lot easier when we work together. The "Green Team" meets every Saturday at 8:00am-1:00pm. Any questions? Contact Kenny or Dona Eiland thru the church office 615.790.0104.
