BABY DEDICATION - FEB 12
We believe that children are a joyous gift! We also believe that parents and church families have a God-given responsibility to raise up children in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord." Therefore, we consider it an honor and privilege to hold baby dedication ceremonies for Harpeth Community members' children. The ceremony is a time for us to pray blessings over a child's life, affirm and challenge parents, and celebrate the gift of new life God has brought to our congregation.  If you are a member of Harpeth Community Church and would like to dedicate your child during the beginning of the 10:30am service, please contact Cam McLaughlin, Children's Minister at 615.790.0104 ext. 15 or camm@harpethcc.com

NEW SUNDAY SERVICE AT 4:30PM
To maintain the integrity of our Sunday morning groups and respect the time of our current committed volunteers, we need to bring on NEW volunteers for the 4:30pm service.   Opportunities include greeters, ushers, communion, handing out bulletins, coffee prep, children’s ministry and general attendance as your primary assembly for 3 months. If you’re able to help in any of these areas, contact the church office at 790-0104 x16 or churchoffice@harpethcc.com

INCLEMENT WEATHER
With the weather getting colder and snow concerns often surfacing, we want to remind the church family that our default mode when the weather is bad is to meet on Sunday mornings and not cancel church.  We trust Harpeth Community family members to decide for themselves if roads and driving conditions are too dangerous.  We also believe that important spiritual connections, prayer times, and decisions are made in our assemblies and they should not easily be cancelled.

Of course with our youth program, we continue to follow the policy that if Williamson County schools are cancelled for weather, so is youth group.  For other ministry meetings, classes and home group meetings, cancellation will be the decision of the leader and contact should be made directly to them – NOT the church office. For our regular Sunday morning meetings, unless an assembly is explicitly cancelled on this website, we will be gathering together on our campus.

LIT ASSISTANT NEEDED

We are looking for an individual OR a couple who is interested in helping lead middle/ high school students in their area of ministry. Responsibilities would include:

-helping with administrative duties (phone calls, data entry, creating documents, texting etc.)
-helping plan social events
-checking on lit's on sunday mornings to ensure they are present and that the rooms are "evenly"/ adequately staffed

If someone is interested, they can either call the church office or Kari Hammer 615.207.3484

FOOD PANTRY
Shelf-stable items needed for our food pantry!
We have seen a significant increase in requests for food from our local community and need to replace specific items quickly.  Please consider donating the following:  peanut butter, jelly, crackers, canned goods (meats, soups, pastas, veges, & fruits) – we currently have NO canned meats on our shelves.  We also need personal items such as deodorant, shampoo, soap, & toothpaste AND toilet paper.  Thank you for sharing!

DRAMA
Put the Drama in your life... the Good kind!  If you have ever considered acting...join us in the Children’s Ministry. We have live skits weekly here at Harpeth and we need your help. This is a great way to try out your acting potential in a super fun, stress free environment. It’s also an awesome experience for you parents to get involved and participate in live performances with your kids.  No matter what the age, we welcome you!  Join the Children’s Drama Ministry ... it’s not just for kids!  Contact  Cameron McLaughlin.

LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD MEN!
All male members of Harepth are invited to join our Children's Ministry Security Team.  You will check name tags (making sure all adults entering the building have a purpose to be here) and be a general monitor of all people going in & out of the Children's Center.  This is a great way to get to know new people while ensuring the security of our children.  If interested in more info, please contact Cam McLaulin.

PRAYER WARRIOR MEETING

“We have different gifts according to the grace given us,” Romans 1:6

If one of your gifts is praying for others, please join us on Sunday, at 9:30 AM in Bobby’s office located on the right hand side of the Children’s Center through the main entrance.   We will pray continually during that service for our church: the leadership, the members, the children, the marriages, the hurting, the unemployed, the lost, etc. We’ll also praise God for prayers answered!   If you are willing to commit to praying with a team of prayer warriors one Sunday a month, two Sundays a month, or every Sunday, please let me know and I’ll include you in the communication for this new Sunday morning ministry.  Contact Lois Meredith, Lois.meredith@crye-leike.com ; 615.545.5110

Do you have a new phone? Moved to a new home? Changed your e-mail address? We need to know! Please help us keep our database records up-to-date by letting us know of any changes to your personal information. You may update your info by e-mailing Kelly Long at kellyl@harpethcc.com. Thanks!

Feb 12, 2012 is the next date! Contact our Children's Minister, Cam McLaughlin @ 615.790.0104 x15 to schedule your dedication.

THE GREEN/CLEAN TEAM NEED YOU!
I am spending the winter months grooming Harpeth’s 11 ½ acres of campus grounds by raking leaves and mulching. In winter I shovel and spread ice melt on the walkways as required. Organizing the shed, disaster relief trailer and my utility closet are also tackled this time of year. Mopping of floors is necessary almost daily from the dirt being tracked into the buildings. In addition to my regular job duties, I attempt to remove all cobwebs, clean air vents, wash baseboards, blinds  and the tops of cupboards/cabinets in all three buildings. Patching, sanding and painting is an ongoing process. This is a lot to do by myself, so I am humbly asking for volunteers to help. I am guaranteed to be on campus every Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri from 8:00 to 4:00. If you could donate an hour or two it would be greatly appreciated. Contact Dona Eiland, Facilities Manager at 615-790-0104 Ext. 17 or 909-225-8497 cell. Thanks bunches and God bless.
