beliefs

We believe that human beings have lost their way and can only find it with God's help. We believe that God has provided us with the Way, the Truth, and the Life - Jesus Christ. God revealed the true path for human beings in His life, teachings, death, and resurrection.

We base all things on the Bible.  We are part of the broad evangelical movement within Protestant Christianity that cross denominational lines and is grounded in a cluster of six controlling convictions, each of which is regarded as being true, of vital importance and grounded in scripture.

---The supreme authority of Scripture for knowledge of God and guide to Christian living.
---Jesus Christ is incarnate God and Lord and as the Savior of sinful humanity.
---The lordship of the Holy Spirit.
---The need for personal conversion.
---The priority of evangelism for both individual Christians and the church as a whole.
---The importance of Christian community for spiritual nourishment, fellowship and growth.

We are also considered an Independent Christian Church. This means were are part of the Restoration Movement of churches throughout the world that are non-denominational and try to go back and base all teachings and practices on the Bible.  We seek to learn from Christian history and yet "restore" the Christianity and the New Testament church as it is found in the Bible.  Here are six further distinctives

---We seek to follow Jesus and the Bible and restore the Christianity of the Bible in our day.
---We seek a Jesus-centered, non-denominational, and counter-cultural lifestyle.
---We seek to be led by a group of elders who oversee, pastor, and guide the church.
---We believe that baptism by immersion as an expression of faith is integral to the conversion process.
---We believe that it is good to practice the weekly observance of the Lord's Supper.
---We believe in both God's sovereignty and in genuine human free-will.
