FAQs

What kind of services do you have - what are they like?
We offer two different options for services on Sunday mornings both meeting at 9am and 11am.  Visit our Church Services page for more info.

What denomination is Harpeth Community Church?
Non-denominational simply means that a Church is not affiliated with a particular denomination. We are an independent Church. Most non-denominational Churches would be considered Protestant, or evangelical in doctrine. We welcome everyone from all backgrounds, faiths and circumstances to come join us.

Where do I drop off my children on Sunday morning?

  • If you have children ages birth thru 5th grade, please come to the front of our Children's Center (middle building on the campus). Someone will guide you through the check-in process and direct you and your children to the appropriate classroom. We ask that all new families begin here, even if your children will be attending the Family Service with you on Sunday morning.
  • Children in 6th thru 8th grade attend the first part of service with their family and are dismissed at a specific time to participate in their own age-appropriate class. These classes are held in the Children's Center - 6th-8th meets in the multi-purpose room (down the hall on the right past the check-in area).
  • Youth in grades 9-12 remain the the service and do not attend a separate class.

What are all the different buildings at HCC?
Funny you should ask- see our Campus map.

Through Angel Food Ministries, families can purchase quality food at a discounted price ($30/box). This is a monthly service with a different menu each month at an estimated value of $60-70. The food is ordered and paid for beforehand and then is picked up at HCC. On the day of distribution, recipients bring a box for their food and a receipt. Visit the Angel Food webpage for ordering info or contact us at 615.790.0104 ext 12

Will our children be safe in HCC's Children's Ministry?
Yes! HCC follows the Guardian System, a program of background checks and training for all those who volunteer with children. We also have written policies and procedures that ensure the excellence and safety of all we do in our ministry.

What's the Friday email? How can I subscribe?
HCC has a weekly e-mail that, for lack of a better term, is simply called the "Friday Email". This is to help our church family communicate things that aren't appropriate for the bulletin or Sunday announcements - sort of like a "classifieds" section of the newspaper. We've had everything from the promotion of music & drama gigs to the sale of cars and even "FREE - just come and get it" stuff.  Email our office at to sign up.
